Theory booked - Swansea
« on: December 21, 2015, 10:05:48 AM »
Booked the theory for the 29th so fingers crossed I hope I pass.
Once or if I do I'll book Mod1 maybe at the end of Jan and then Mod2 at the end of Feb...
Have been looking into the XJ6 Diversion so might get one if I pass both Mod's.

Good luck buddy,

This was a nightmare for me, I passed first time by just using the Motorcycle theory questions here:

http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/take-an-official-motorbike-practice-theory-test

But it was a ‘just’ pass and I wish I’d bought a theory revision test and eased through it.

Good luck with it and the rest of your training. Who are you doing training with?
CBT - 23.03.2015
Theory - 27.05.2015
DAS - PASSED!! 25.09.2015
Triumph Street Triple & YBR 125

Aye cheers Jon. Passed both mock tests on first attempts within a mark of each other :D
Thought since I'm 24 now I'll get it all done and out of the way before next summer having been on a 125 on and off since 2011.

How did the test go?

I bought the 'Driving Test Success' for PC and just tried the CGI videos (most on the disc are real-life, but think the test is mostly/all CGI) - it's like being in the Sims!
Plus apparently everyone just pulls out of junctions and wanders onto the road without even looking  :dunno2

Aha yeah mind you though I have been doing mock tests quite a lot over the past two year as before they brought the new law / regulations in back in 2013 I had planned on doing the full test back then however, college work got in the way.
Two year later I'm back on the road with "Lexi" and now being 24 I can do the full DAS test...

With regard to the theory test though now despite the numerous mock tests I done and passed there were some questions in there that I simply didn't know how to answer, I guessed and must have got them right...Or wrong? Out of 7 of the wrong's allowed I had 6 wrong answers. Passed the test with 44 mark out of 50, and also passed the HPT as well.

Going to take a trip down to SMART tomorrow to enquire about the fee's for mod 1/2.

Congratulations!! When it comes to Mod 1 and 2 many schools block book stuff, training Monday, Mod 1 Tuesday, training Wednesday Mod 2 Thursday. This is great if you pass Mod 1, if you fail you can't do Mod 2 and you lose your test fee.  If it were me I'd do Mod 1 then have a week before Mod 2, your choice of course but it's something to think about. Good luck :)
