Top tip for warm hands
« on: February 26, 2016, 07:18:31 PM »
Don't have heated grips on my bike and not keen on the bigger bulk of winter gloves so lately I've been feeling like I'll have the fingers of Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

Called into sports direct today and picked up a pair of Karrimor runners gloves for 4.99. Wore them home under my normal gloves and still had plenty of feeling when I got back but hardly one they were there. :thumbup2

Good temporary fix until the sun comes out or I find some thinner but warm winter gloves for a reasonable price (recommendations welcome)

I bought a pair of Cold Killer undergloves ages ago which are supposed to be really warm. Problem is they don't fit under any of my riding gloves, they're just too tight.   :smackhead

Have a look for gloves made out of a material called MERAKLON.
I had a pair years ago that I used on range days for shooting, ultra thin but unbelievable warmth from them. :thumb

Minus temperatures on Sennybridge and my hands were warm enough to shoot accurately (ish)

(Barn doors and cows arsrs comes to mind tbh with my shooting prowess,)

What size are they? If they are looking for a new home can I try them out please? :bgrin
I can fit liners under mine so should have space.
