Economical or what
« on: July 21, 2017, 10:17:15 AM »
Encouraged by NH in "Posts" to post:- weekend before last rode up through Mid Wales, Stayed overnight among the Gogs, and back down the coast on my BMW F800ST. Two days 350 miles and this should be a bit of a posting point *** 72 MPG ***. I admit though that I stuck to the speed limits (most of the time) and there weren't any "HO SHIT" moments   :)

That's pretty damn good !  :cool

Mine averaged 54mpg over the first 1000 miles I had it and now at almost 23k miles the overall since day one is still  53mpg... happy with that.  :excited

Sounds a decent rideout too, following the west coast gives you some great rides.

One question... did you get your innoculations updated before going to stay with the gogs ?  :bgrin

Never mind the jabs, I needed a translator to cope with all the Liverpool accents at the Pondarosa Cafe on Horseshoe Pass, I felt as if I was in that foreign land across the border

My zed averages about 50-55mpg.  Not bad compared to the older Japanese bikes I have had.

At mostly motorway cruising speeds in comfort & street settings - 58mpg (Fully loaded, with full panniers, top box and a massive kit bag and other bags etc. across the pillion seat & panniers)

When unloaded and in sport settings  :eyebrows  and following  iluvfosters  or Oggy ...(I mean Cheesy) around twisties
...  47 to 52mpg

I haven't a long distance economy ride figure,  due to the fact that I haven't been able to resist the sport mode ...
