What year are you thinking of Tom? I had a 2006 for years, was quite active on the Strom forum too

Hm, was on a 2017 today and felt alright, but even I have learnt there is a difference between being on a bike for 20 minutes and being on a bike for a season ...

Had a 2011 one. Toured the Pyrenees two up full luggage. A couple of other big tours two up. good comfort and enough torque.
65+mpg easy.
30,000 miles in 3 years.
Faultless.

I test rode a 2016 bike before buying my Super Ten,  it was a huge improvement over my 2006 bike, felt lighter, a little quicker and the brakes were exceptional. There were quite a few recalls done on looms but all that would be sorted on a new bike. As good as it was I still went for the S10, less exciting but ultra reliable and in the real world  it's more than quick enough.

I've had a 2014 650 since February, and have put on about 4500 miles in that time. Very happy with it, and no problems. No very long trips, but i did go to North Wales last weekend (overnight at the Ponderosa) clocking up 510 miles Saturday/Sunday. Comfortable for about 2/3 hours at a stretch, and I managed almost 70 mpg! (without riding too slowly  :jump)
